Operations Analyst

As the Operations Data Analyst, you will be responsible for all US Operations analytics. This includes the analysis across US Operations domains utilizing established metrics and interpretation of raw data to identify trends used for actionable insights and for solving issues relating to the performance of business operations. 
In the Operations Data Analyst role, you will coordinate with management and cross-functional teams to build a picture of targeted processes and systems. A key element in executing this role is the ability to create statistical and mathematical models of real-world processes. Success in this role is demonstrated by measuring the effective implementation of changes and significant improvement in the efficiency of operations.

Day to Day

•    Analyzes current operations through collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large datasets to discover useful information, suggest conclusions, and support decision-making 
•    Use statistical analysis and mathematical modeling to identify and evaluate issues and areas for improvement.
•    Collaborate with operations teams, engineers, and management to create solutions and streamline business systems for data management
•    Gathers data and insights on current operations through observations, reports, and interviews
•    Provide actionable insight through determining operational strengths and areas for improvement
•    Provide data analysis to support the design of efficient operational processes
•    Identifies and compares the impact of new processes/system changes & enhancements (Cost per Activity/Contract)

•    Collaborate and represent US Operations in master data management initiatives (data cleaning, statistical analysis, etc.)
•    Data Cleaning and Preparation: filtering data, handling missing values, and preparing the dataset for analysis to ensure accuracy and relevance.
•    Data Exploration and Analysis: use statistical tools and techniques to explore and analyze data, identifying patterns, relationships, and trends.
•    Data Visualization: create visual representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandable
•    Reporting: assist with the preparation of reports and presentations to communicate the insights and findings from the data to stakeholders, which can influence policy and decision-making processes.
•    Collaboration: work with other departments (e.g. Commercial) to understand their data needs and help them make informed decisions based on operational data insights.

Essentials

•    Two or more years of experience in an operational or similar role
•    Possess a solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (such as Excel, SPSS, SAS) and mastery in data analysis tools including SQL, Python, Power BI.
•    Exhibit exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness. 
•    Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.
•    Demonstrate superior communication and presentation capabilities, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background.
•    A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Management, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is preferred, with prior experience in data analysis or a related field being advantageous.
•    Proven organizational skills, including time management
•    Self-sufficiency and an ability to work with minimal supervision
•    Proven experience in understanding systems, data lineage, and how they connect to operational processes
•    Naturally curious
•    Comfortable in fast-paced environments, with different stakeholders at different levels

Applicable Pay Range

$73,700 - $110,600

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
