IT Area Lead

We are seeking a dynamic IT Area Lead who will be responsible for the IT Delivery & Support of IT Solutions across multiple countries, with a specific focus on the Contract Management Process with an Oracle backend. This hands-on role will require you to lead a team of IT professionals while actively contributing to the development, support, and optimization of our IT infrastructure. You will work within an Agile Operating Model, ensuring that business and IT collaborate effectively to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.

Day to Day

  • IT Service Delivery & Support:
    • Oversee and ensure optimal and timely delivery of application maintenance and development services, focusing on Oracle Database and PL/SQL solutions.
    • Provide data extracts to hundreds of systems using multiple formats (file transfers or APIs), and manage the lifecycle of IT solutions in scope.
    • Develop transactional documents and period-end statements, with the potential to integrate SmartComm for enhanced document management.
  • Hands-On Development and Leadership:
    • Actively participate in the development and testing of IT solutions, particularly in Oracle DB and PowerBI.
    • Conduct regular hands-on training sessions and mentor team members to ensure the team remains skilled and future-ready.
    • Lead the setup and migration of data to cloud environments, and oversee the development of PowerBI reports.
  • Workforce Planning & Team Capability Development:
    • Maintain an overview of the team’s workload and create Workforce Planning for effective resource management.
    • Coach and mentor team members, ensuring they have the necessary capabilities to meet the demands of the project and maintain compliance with IT policies.
  • Process Compliance, Audit, and IT Strategy:
    • Ensure all IT Services are delivered within compliance frameworks, including Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, and corporate IT policies.
    • Define and implement the IT Vision and Strategy for services related to the Contract Management Process, and contribute to the broader IT Strategy and Application Roadmap.
    • Support the phase-out of legacy technologies such as Oracle Forms, ASP.NET, and Crystal Reports, while ensuring smooth transitions to modern technologies.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with the Area Lead on the business side and the IT Architect to ensure optimal IT Delivery & Support, Process Standardization, and Application Rationalization.
    • Manage relationships with IT Suppliers and ensure delivery within assigned budgets and agreed XLA's/SLA's.

Essentials

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Proven experience as a IT Delivery Manager or a similar role, within an international environment
  • Proven Experience with different software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
  • Proven Experience in IT Supplier Management
  • Proven experience in different sourcing models (time hire, output / outcome based / off-shoring and nearshoring.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Working in a financial industry domain is a plus
