System Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will drive change across a multi-technology landscape and disrupt conventional ways of thinking. You will be responsible not only for creating DevOps processes, but also for instilling a DevOps culture in the Compute & Storage team. You will be the person who designs and implements DevOps tools and procedures that will improve DLL’s IT development and operations.

You are passionate for Automation and Innovation. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, technically competent scripting with an ability to partner with other groups within the Infrastructure department to support innovation and automation initiatives end to end Infrastructure services. General knowledge of infrastructure management tools is expected The Private Cloud Platform Services (PCPS) department works as a number of self-organizing teams. Each team is responsible for delivering a specific service for customers.

Day to Day

  • Collaborates with DLL’s global team to develop and improve methods and processes for supporting the user community’s technology needs.
  • Has knowledge of, and experience with scripting, Automation and improving Infrastructure services.
  • Develop a DevOps culture within Infrastructure Team
  • Design and build automated solutions for the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of on-premise and/or cloud-based systems
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to improve development processes and business value delivery.
  • Mentor colleagues to create a DevOps and “Shift Left” mind-set.
  • Drive and support automation and innovation initiatives.

Essentials

  • 3+ years strong hands-on experience with VMWare Products incl certification. (VCP-VSAN-NSX)
  • Experience in disaster recovery solutions (like Zerto)
  • Demonstrated implementation of DevOps concepts (Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, etc.)
  • Knowledge about Infrastructure Services in general
  • Azure Devops pipelines (CI/CD)
  • Passion for coding (Powershell / Python)
  • Can do mentality
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ownership skills. Understands new technologies.

Extras:

  • Ability to use DLL’s existing tools and processes, execute accordingly and provide recommendations for service maturity.
  • Multi-Cloud mindset
  • Familiar with Git, Azure Devops, Ansible
  • Experience with ServiceNow workflow automation

Applicable Pay Range

$73,754.24    $110,631.36

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
